How long will I have braces?

In general, active treatment time with orthodontic appliances (braces) ranges from one to three years. Interceptive procedures, or early treatment, may take only a few months.

At what age should my child be examined to determine if they will benefit from orthodontics?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child visit an orthodontist by age seven for a general screening - or earlier if a problem is detected by parents, the family dentist, or the child's physician.
